From a Vision in 2008 to a Global Force in Neonatal Care

Founded in 2008 by Sujith S and Anitha Sathyan, Ibis Medical began as a start-up incubated at NIT-Calicut, with a vision to bring world-class NICU technologies to India. We entered the market with a bold step—launching India’s first high-brightness LED phototherapy unit, iRex , at a time when CFL-based systems were the standard. A few years later, Santosh Menon joined the team to drive sales and marketing, playing a crucial role in expanding the company’s market reach and establishing Ibis Medical as a trusted name across India. Alongside this, we introduced iCORE 10, an upgraded Infant Radiant Warmer designed to deliver reliable thermal support for neonates. These innovations helped establish our reputation as a pioneer in the Indian neonatal equipment industry. From our roots in Kerala, we expanded operations across South India and now have installations in almost every Indian state. We’ve also stepped into international markets, providing neonatal solutions to hospitals in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa. Through continuous research, user feedback, and a deep commitment to neonatal care, we continue to evolve and offer meaningful innovations to our customers.

Our Journey

What started as a vision in Kochi, India, quickly grew into a mission with global impact. By blending advanced engineering with clinical insights, we developed products that address pressing neonatal challenges, from jaundice treatment to thermal management, respiratory support, and infection control. Over the years, our collaborations with hospitals, NGOs, and healthcare providers have helped us refine every product through real-world feedback, ensuring solutions that meet both the highest international standards and the practical needs of caregivers.
